School-age kids are welcomed to this years' event that will again be held at Hanging Rock on the Mann River. In addition to the competitive aspect of these events, they are also a great mix of  learning, training and socialising with junior paddlers from all over the state.

The event is held on grade 2 whitewater, with slalom, whitewater sprints, flatwater sprint and wildwater categories. Primary school age kids may also attend following discussion with the convener.

All equipment is the responsibility of the individual entrants and their supervising schools. Participants must be able to swim 50 metres whilst wearing a PFD (Personal Floatation Device) and be proficient in capsize routine, exit and self rescue.

Free camping is available at the paddling site (portaloos only) or cabins and camping [and legendary ice creams] are available at the Mann River Caravan Park at Jackadgery.

To get to Hanging Rock, navigate to the attached pin or:

- Head west from South Grafton on the Gwydir Hwy, towards Glen Innes.

- Drive 63 Km and turn right onto Coombadjha Road (1.6 km past Cangai Bridge Road).

- Drive 7.1 km on dirt road and turn right onto Hanging Rock Road.

- Drive 700 m and cross low level bridge. Camping areas available on both sides of the road.
